Welcome to our family owned and operated business! We are the Woodall family and we’ve come together to create a solution that makes your merchandising needs easier and more efficient. Tim, a veteran and retired firefighter, presented his idea to the family and the idea took off. Tim’s wife Jan, a retired nurse, and their daughters, Natalie and Mackenzie, used their real-life experiences and challenges to grow Goods for Goals from a unique idea into a business.
We started Goods for Goal’s because the Woodall family loves a good t-shirt; we love wearing merchandise that takes us back to a special place, helps us rep our favorite hobby, or reminds us of an awesome concert. We found that in almost all aspects of our lives, we purchased merchandise. However, our merch obsession led to some frustrating experiences.
Jan, an avid concert-goer, often found that when she got to the front of the merch line, her favorite styles and colors were out of stock. If they did have the option she wanted, Tim would be stuck carrying around the purchases all night, since most concert venues have invoked a no-purse policy. Sometimes while traveling, there wouldn’t be enough room in her suitcase for all her purchases. Additionally, the traditional sign-up sheets, order minimums, and other logistical nightmares that were involved in getting shirts from clubs Tim and Jan are members of was getting old. These collective experiences inspired us to develop a unique system designed to address these common merchandising problems.
Our first client was Natalie’s husband, a high school basketball coach, who needed to raise funds in order to hire another coach for his team. We created an online storefront and filled it with unique spirit wear products for their fans and family members. By selling goods, the team was able meet their fundraising goals to hire another coach. The spirit wear store still serves as a source of passive income for the team to this day!
